TECHNICAL ENGINEER INTERN OR STUDENT ASSISTANT WITH FOCUS ON CIRCULAR PRODUCTION IN THE FURNITURE BUSINESS

As a Technical Engineer at Mater, your main tasks will be working in the Product Development team, making technical drawings, documentation and material development. You will assist in developing our collections with a special focus on circular production in different waste materials. You will report to Henrik Marstrand, Founder & Head of Circular transformation.

Mater is a Danish design brand founded in 2006 with a vision to be the pioneering global design brand with sustainability as its core value. We combine circular production in waste streams with timeless and alluring design, through collaboration with an external base of well-established and new design talents. We constantly explore materials and production methods that are environmentally friendly to limit any negative effects of its design process without compromising aesthetics. Today our products are sold in more than 40 countries.

 Your main responsibilities will include: 

You need to be ready and engaged to work in an innovative Green Tech Design company on an exciting journey towards a greener and more circular furniture production. You have a background in engineering, takes responsibility in your work and is motivated for both learning and contributing with the competences you have within Product Development already. You have great skills in 3D software such as Solidworks and can work across departments. You are driven by results and have a strong passion for sustainability.

We are looking for someone who can start in May 2022 or before. The position is either an unpaid internship with a period of 3-6 months or a student job of minimum 15 hours per week. We evaluate applications and conduct interviews on an ongoing basis. 

The workplace is at our Headquarter in Glentevej 47, Copenhagen, Denmark
