Upholstery options
We have a standard collection with carefully chosen colours. For upholstery requests exceeding the standard, a minimum order quantity of 25 pieces is applied. And the expected production lead time will be eight weeks for fabrics from Kvadrat, Gabriel or Sørensen Leather. Upholstery requests from other vendors will be handled case by case – please reach out to your local Mater contact or by email here.
Standard collection
Re-wool
We use the re-wool upholstery collection created by Kvadrat and Danish textile designer Margrethe Odgaard.
The fabric is made from 45% recycled wool from Kvadrat's production. Re-wool is produced in the United Kingdom and is overall a more sustainable choice of upholstery. The fabric comes in 21 colors. At Mater, we have chosen three of these for our standard collection.
Re-wool is used on The Eternity Collection.
Composition: 45% recycled wool, 45% new wool worsted and 10% nylon

Leather
Leather is a natural material. And at Mater, we believe it will only get more beautiful with age and daily usage. However, like all natural materials, it requires looking after to ensure its long-lasting appeal.
Due to being a natural material, texture and colour can vary from piece to piece.

We use leather on The High Stool Collection, The Dining Chair, The Lounge Chair and Rocker Chair.
Cura
The Cura textile from Gabriel has a soft, voluminous texture, consisting of 98% post-consumer recycled polyester made from used plastic bottles. The recycled polyester is GRA certified and is also EU Ecolabel and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certified.
Cura is used on The Nova Sea Collection.
