Finca la Vall
In the north of Mallorca, Christian Schröder and Sofie Lindahl-Jessen have built a home from the ground up. After careers in the automotive industry and international design – Sofie previously sat on Mater's board – they found a piece of untouched land in 2019 and spent the next five years creating Finca la Vall. When they moved, three Mater High Stools came with them.

A Danish classic in a Mallorcan kitchen
Finca la Vall became more than a home. The project is the foundation for La Vall Projects, the renovation and interior design studio Christian and Sofie now run for clients across the island – working with local craft, natural materials and the light and landscape of northern Mallorca.
In the kitchen, the High Stools take their place at the counter. Oak base and camel-coloured leather seat meet stone, plaster and Mediterranean light – where Scandinavian simplicity meets Mediterranean character. Designed by Space Copenhagen and launched in 2007, the High Stool was made for everyday use. Here it has moved countries and settled into a new home without changing at all.

Designed by Space Copenhagen
The High Stool was launched in 2007 and is regarded as a New Danish Classic. Its organic yet minimalist expression suits both homes and hospitality.
