Outdoor Furniture Made from Waste

Since 2019 Mater has produced the Ocean Collection using ocean waste. Old fishing nets are collected from the sea, washed, shredded and made into pellets, also known as green plastic. The collection has since been extended with versions in industrial plastic waste, e-waste and, in 2021, recycled beer kegs from Carlsberg. The series is known for its light structure with repeated slats and metal frames. It covers chairs, lounge chairs, tables, lounge tables and benches, so a full outdoor setting can be assembled in one material family.
