At Mater, we work with several waste streams, turning them into furniture.
For our outdoor furniture collection, also called the Ocean Collection, we use plastic waste, including discarded fishing nets and industrial plastic waste.
A large part of our ‘made from waste’ furniture collection is made with Mater’s Matek® material.
To produce Matek, we recycle waste and surplus materials such as wood waste, coffee shell waste, post-consumer e-waste, and industrial plastic.
