At Poke & Sons in Copenhagen, dark vertical panelling and a terrazzo floor set a calm backdrop for a busy dining room. Mater Cafe Tables in Coffee Waste Black run the length of the space, paired with light oak chairs that lift the darker tones. The tabletops are made of Matek®, Mater's recycled material, fabricated from post-consumer e-waste mixed with either coffee shell or wood waste.

The Cafe Table was made with commercial life in mind. The tabletop has a simple, clean design making it suitable for various settings, and a slim cylindrical metal base ensures the table's stability and offers free placement of chairs. In a restaurant where seating is rearranged through the day, that matters as much as the surface itself.
The Coffee Waste Black finish carries the marks of what it is made from. No two tabletops are quite alike, and the surface is made to be used rather than protected.
The collection was made with commercial life in mind. The Matek® surface takes daily wiping, cups set down without thought, and the wear that comes from being used from open to close.
