Ocean Bench x KINRADEN | by Jørgen & Nanna Ditzel
€1.875,00 EUR
Mater is proud to unveil the limited edition collaboration with the Danish jewelry brand KINRADEN, a partnership shaped by shared values and a mutual respect for enduring design.
Originally designed in 1955 by Jørgen and Nanna Ditzel, the Ocean Collection is reimagined here in KINRADEN’s iconic blue, bringing together aesthetics, responsibility, and longevity in one refined expression. Produced in limited numbers, this exclusive edition is created to be both timeless and collectible.
This striped KINRADEN version combines two innovative waste streams.
The dusty blue lamellas are made from post consumer e-waste, one of the world’s fastest growing waste streams, consisting of recycled plastic from end of life electronic appliances such as fridges, displays, and keyboards.
The black lamellas are made from recycled fishing nets. By transforming discarded materials into enduring design, the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to conscious production, innovation, and lasting quality.
Founded by architect Sarah Emilie Müllertz, KINRADEN is rooted in an architectural approach to design, where proportion, material, and form are considered with precision at every scale. Much like Nanna Ditzel, who moved seamlessly between furniture, jewelry, and textiles, Sarah works across disciplines, creating a natural dialogue between form, material, and function.
The Ocean Collection is designed for disassembly, allowing each component in its purest form to be recycled into new production circles, extending the lifecycle of both material and design.

Care and maintenance ⌵
Recycled plastics
Our recycled plastics offer a strong durable surface. It is easy to clean and requires very little maintenance. The plastic surface can be cleaned with a soft cloth wrung in lukewarm water.
Avoid contact with sharp objects that can scratch or damage the surface of the material.
Powder Coated Steel
A powder-coated steel surface is durable and requires very little maintenance. It is recommended to use only a soft, dry cloth to clean powder-coated surfaces; however, if more thorough cleaning is needed, a soft cloth wrung out in lukewarm water can be gently applied.
Always dry the surface immediately after cleaning with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive detergents on powder-coated surfaces, as these may permanently damage the finish. Minor scratches or damages to the surface can lead to corrosion.
