Rooted in the essence of Danish design, the stool reflects honest craftsmanship, natural materials, and a timeless expression. Today, this icon enters a new chapter as The Original Collection is revisited and reimagined for the future.

Designed by the renowned Danish architecture duo Space Copenhagen, the stools are recognised as New Danish Classics. Their organic, minimalist silhouette offers a versatile expression suited to both residential and commercial interiors. As part of the revitalisation of the collection, the stools continue the original design language with refined comfort and updated materials.

From early spring 2026, all Low and High Stools are available in selected textiles from Kvadrat’s Baru and Clay collections, allowing for extended customisation across the range.

This version of the Low Stool is crafted from FSC®-certified soaped oak and upholstered in Clay, colour 0017. Click felt gliders are available upon request.

Care and maintenance ⌵

Soaped wood

Soaped wood requires gentle and daily care, to avoid permanent stains. The furniture is best cleaned with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth. Always follow the wood grains and dry with a soft dry cloth immediately afterwards.

Avoid using abrasive and aggressive cleaning detergents, as this will damage the surface of the wood treatment. Avoid placing wooden furniture in direct sunlight, excessive heat, or humidity over longer periods of time, as this can interfere with the appearance of the wood.

In case of more resistant stains or scratches, lightly sand the surface with sandpaper grade 220 or 240. Then wipe off with a dry soft cloth and apply a new layer of soap following the wood grains. Always follow the instructions carefully for the product purchased for retreatment.
